NewsNick Bentley started working in news for KOMU 8 in Columbia, Missouri in 2023, starting as a production assistant before working his way up to director. Bentley took over the noon newscast in mid 2025, helping the show become the most competitive in ratings among the other shows at the station. He is also the director for MizzouXTRA and Friday Night Fever, and constantly goes into the field to man the camera for live events. Bentley has helped cover high school basketball, March Madness, and even traveled to Kansas City for KOMU's World Cup coverage.

NarrativeMessenger has worked to produce quality films, including two short films since its inception in January 2025. The 2 minute short film "Sweet Kiss", directed by Nick Bentley and Ebraheem Hassan, won first place at the Gimme Truth! event taking place at the True/False Film Festival. Bentley's capstone short, "A Shot of Cold Medicine", is gearing up for its festival run.

Nick Bentley is an accomplished screenwriter and director, and the founder of Messenger Productions. His experience in film stems from his studies at the University of Missouri, where he created a wide range of short films, including the award-winning short "Sweet Kiss."
Nick has experience in broadcasting athletics from his time with Mizzou Broadcast Operations, where he primarily worked in the camera and replay departments for broadcast to the ESPN family of networks Nick created Messenger to deliver impactful, high-quality films and athletic broadcasts while creating videos to suit your event/business needs. |
